Service Points
Service Points are a Consortium incentive to encourage participation in creating programs and resources for the Consortium.
How Do You Get Points?
Consortium Service Points are earned when staff from your hospital participate in planning, hosting, monitoring, or teaching a Consortium activity.
One hour of activity earns one Service Point.
Using Your Points
Anyone, with authorization from the hospital Consortium representative (ask your OB director who that is), can use the Consortium Service Points earned by a member hospital in lieu of registration fees for Region III+ Perinatal Education Consortium programs. For 2010, each point earned is worth $5.00 in registration fees.
Finding Your Point Total
The total of all points earned by a member hospital and the details of points earned by your staff can be determined by asking your hospital Consortium representative (ask your OB unit manager who that is), who can call or e-mail the Consortium central office for the latest total or use the link below with a password.
Working Together For Success
Active leadership and participation of staff of hospitals in the membership has been crucial to the continued success of the Consortium. Your participation helps make sure that the planned events are meeting the needs of our region and are good use of everyone's time and effort. Together we can provide basic educational opportunities for our new nursing staff and continuing education for our more experienced staff.
Do You Have Time To Participate?
Recognizing time constraints, most committees meet as little as once per year and conduct most planning by e-mail, phone, or FAX. The General Consortium meetings allow an opportunity for committees to meet and participate in continued development of the Consortium.
